In June, we received in South Africa a trade mission made up of 10 companies from various sectors.
The Argentine delegation was chaired by the Undersecretary for Multilateral and Bilateral Economic Negotiations, Ramiro Ordoqui, and by the Director of Official Missions, Minister Ramiro Velloso.
The companies that visited Johannesburg were: Novarom SRL, Biosidus, Alfonso Sabbatini e Hijos, Etosha, Bioceres, Laboratorios Andrómaco, The Halal Catering, Desitec, Juntas Illinois and Pampa Carne.
Company representatives held meetings with counterparties and made visits to potential importers in South Africa.
The meetings were opened by the Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to South Africa, who was accompanied by Mr. Lester Bouah, Chief Director of the Department of Investment, International Trade and Competition of South Africa, Ms. Tefelo Majoro of Gauteng Growth and Development Agency (GGDA), Mr. Blaine Chetty from the Kwa Zulu Natal Province Trade and Investment Agency and Mr. Jean Carlo from the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce.
The visit of Argentine companies in South Africa is in line with the objective of increasing the bilateral trade flow and exploring the opportunities offered by both South Africa and the Southern African region for Argentina and its companies.
