The Embassy of Argentina in South Africa is pleased to share information regarding the opening of the call for entries for the Third International Biennial of Contemporary Art of Rio Negro, to be held from March 12 to 21, 2026, in the city of Valcheta, Río Negro, Argentina.
The aforementioned event will be held under the curatorial theme: "Imaginary Heritage, Possible Worlds".
The biennial promotes participatory processes and invites the creation of tangible works or ephemeral actions in the city streets and natural spaces. It also fosters a space for theoretical discussion, considering art from the Global South, with the construction of reflections that contribute to the phenomenology of situated art.
The jury will select 12 projects from artists or collectives through a public call. The selected projects will receive financial support for the development of their works.
