On October 9th, the Embassies of Argentina and Chile in South Africa, organised a joint event to promote the joint Proposal of a Marine Protected Area that both countries are intoducing for the second time to the consideration of Member States of the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) in Hobart, Australia, the last two weeks of October.
The event had the presence of local authorities, Ambassadors of CCAMLR Member States, members of the scientific community and non-governmental organizations. Ambassadors Alberto D'Alotto and Francisco Berguño presented the Proposal and requested the support of CCAMLR Member States.
