The Embassy of the Argentine Republic in South Africa announces a job opening for an Analyst position in the Commercial Section.

General duties: to provide technical and operational support to the Commercial Section in its objective of promoting Argentine exports, attracting investments to Argentina and monitoring the macroeconomic, regulatory and sectoral environment in South Africa and other Southern African countries.

Business intelligence tasks:

• To survey and analyze sectorial commercial opportunities.
• Prepare market reports.
• Produce reports on the economic situation.
• Monitor public bidding portals and bulletins.

Commercial promotion:

• Identify and maintain business contacts: importers, distributors, chambers, associations, large companies, agents and consulting firms.
• Manage business inquiries.
• Collaborate in the organization of business agendas and participation in trade fairs and/or commercial events.

Requisites

• Bachelor's (mandatory) or Master's degree (valued) in: International Trade, Economics, International Relations or related.
• Experience in foreign trade, trade intelligence, consulting, business chambers or private export sector.
• Experience in report production and data analysis.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and Word (mandatory).
• Advanced/native Spanish (mandatory).
• Advanced/native English (mandatory).
• Good writing skills; analytical thinking; multi-task management, meeting deadlines and attention to detail.
• Interpersonal skills and proactivity.
• South African nationality or valid work permit (mandatory).
