According to statistics recently published by the South African Revenue Service (SARS), Argentina exported goods to South Africa worth USD 412 million in 2025, representing a 12% increase compared to 2024. As a result, Argentina recorded a trade surplus of USD 305 million, reflecting a 27% increase compared to the balance registered in 2024.
The statistics show that Argentina’s export basket includes both agricultural and industrial components: products of the vegetable kingdom (26%), followed by food, beverages and tobacco (18%), animal or vegetable fats and oils (18%), vehicles and their parts (13%), and products of the animal kingdom (10%).
This growth in bilateral trade is indicative of the opportunities that exist to diversify and further deepen trade between the two countries.
