On February 14, 2025 we welcomed the “3CV Travesía Africana” team to South Africa.

The driver José Izquierdo, who arrived in South Africa with his son Agustín Izquierdo, took part in the event.

The “3 CV Experience – Travesía Africana” is an initiative promoted by Argentine drivers Martín Franzosi and José Izquierdo.

This project is carried out in commemoration of the hundred years since the first crossing of the African continent by car, and consisted of driving through nine African countries aboard two classic Citröen 3 CVs.

The journey began in January 2025 in Angola and ended in South Africa in February, after traveling 12,000 kilometers, through Angola, Namibia, Zambia, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Malawi, Botswana and South Africa.

During his visit, Mr. José Izquierdo was received by the tango community of Johannesburg, with whom he prepared a tango demonstration that was enjoyed by those gathered to welcome him.

In addition to typical Argentine food, guests could also enjoy Argentine wine provided by Bodega del Fin del Mundo.
