Hernán Lanvers is a surgeon and one of the few people in the world who has climbed, alone, the two highest mountains in Africa: Kilimanjaro and Mount Kenya. Scale always alone or with natives, and has done so with Chagga, Wamerus, Kikuyu or, when he climbed, in the Himalayas of Borneo, the most important mountain of Insular Asia with Kadazan-dazan, of the tribe of Head Hunters, or a Berber guide when it came to the highest peak of the Sahara Desert. For the investigation of the topics covered in this book, he has made eleven trips to Africa and lived for a time with the Zulus of Natal region.
He lives in Cordoba, Argentina.
