REGRESAR

Participation of the Embassy in the G20 Work Programme

The South African G20 Presidency involved, across both the Sherpa Track and the Finance Track, more than 130 meetings held in different parts of the country. These meetings took place from December 2024—starting with the 1st Sherpa Meeting—through November 2025, culminating in the Leaders’ Summit held on 22 and 23 November in Johannesburg.

Within this framework, the Argentine Embassy in South Africa participated by presenting Argentina’s national positions in more than 60 meetings—both at Working Group and Ministerial levels—covering a broad and comprehensive agenda.

The Embassy wishes to express its appreciation to the numerous Argentine government agencies and to the relevant areas of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with direct responsibility in the negotiation themes, for their hard work throughout the year. Their sustained and coordinated dedication made it possible to successfully advance and uphold Argentina’s perspectives in a challenging context.
