With the support and collaboration of the Embassy of Argentina on Saturday the 11th of May at the Inanda Polo Club, located in Sandton (Johannesburg), the Argentine National Polo Team took on its South African counterpart at the first ever high goal international polo match in South Africa.

The test match, organized by the Inanda Polo Club and the Embassy of Argentina in Pretoria, ended with a tight victory by the local team, 9-8 at the supplementary chukker, with a golden goal by David Evans. 

The Argentine Team was comprised by Juan Lalor, Benjamín Araya, Juan A. García Grossi and Diego Araya while the South African Team was formed by David Evans, Lance Watson, Gareth Evans and Tom de Bruin.

The Argentine Ambassador, Alberto D’Alotto, threw in the first ball and handed the prizes to the teams.
