Argentinian National Institute of Agricultural Technology visits South Africa

A delegation from the Argentinian National Institute of Agricultural Technology visited South Africa under the FOAR for Rural Extension Cooperation in South Africa. The aim was to see how to respond to a demand from South Africa that seeks to introduce direct sowing in this country among family farmers.

The Agricultural Engineer Gerardo Tenaglia, research coordinator of the IPAF NEA Region, said at the end of the trip:

"Instead of offering new machinery, we plan to work with what they already have. That's why we invite you to visit our country, outside the pampean core area, so they can meet family producers and observe how they produce and get organized."
